Dartford born goalkeeper Arthur Reynolds had played junior football for Dartford Albion in 1904 and Dartford Town win 1905, from where he signed for Fulham for £50 in April 1910, making his Football League debut at Lincoln City the same month. He played 420 games as Fulham’s goalkeeper between 1910 and 1925 despite the interruption of World War One. All of his games for Fulham were played in the Second Division. He had a wartime loan spell in Edinburgh with Hibernian in 1916. He received a testimonial against Chelsea for his long service in 1923. In 1925 he signed for Clapton Orient but only stayed briefly without making a first team appearance before rejoining Dartford in 1926.
In the photograph Reynolds is seen clearing against Derby County in January 1923.
