Brithdir, Wales born full back Walter Price started his football career with Aberdare Athletic for whom he made his Football League debut against Reading in December 1921. He had 2 seasons at Aberdare before joining Pontypridd in 1923, but returned to Aberdare for the 1924-25 season before making the move to Plymouth Argyle that December in exchange for Jack (John) Smith after a total of 51 appearances for Aberdare. Price spent six seasons with the Pilgrims, appearing regularly in the first two campaigns but finding opportunities far more restricted thereafter. In 1930, after 67 appearances in green, he moved to Bristol Rovers, where he played 13 games for Rovers during the 1930-31 season before retirement.
