Description
Luton, Bedfordshire born centre forward Herbert Moody began his football career with Luton Stanley in 1900 and joined Southern League Luton Town in 1901. After four years at Kenilworth Road during which he scored 15 goals in 63 appearances, he joined Second Division Leicester Fosse in the 1905 close season, making his Football League debut against Clapton Orient that September, scoring in a 2-1 victory.
He scored 12 goals in 55 appearances over his two seasons with The Fossils, before returning to Luton Town in 1907, where Moody scored another 78 goals in 169 League games before leaving in 1912 to join Millwall Athletic in 1912, where he ended his career in 1914.
