Description
Outside right Robert McEwan signed for Scottish League First Division club Dumbarton in May 1921, making his debut at Partick Thistle that September. He scored his only goal for The Sons in a 3-3 draw with Third Lanark a week later and was a regular during their 1921-22 campaign which ended in relegation, McEwan having featured 30 times. McEwan played his final match in December 1922 (perhaps after sustaining an injury) after 13 further matches in the Second Division, and was given a free transfer in November 1923, his career after Dumbarton is uncertain.
