Inside or centre forward Archie McDonald made his Scottish League debut for Queen’s Park in a 3-0 defeat at Hamilton Academical in April 1920, and in the return fixture he scored a hat-trick in a 3-1 win at Hampden Park. Over two years he scored 12 goals in 59 Scottish League and Scottish Cup appearances, making his final appearance against Forfar Athletic in September 1922 after The Spiders’ relegation from the First Division. The other details of his football career are uncertain.
