Hutchesontown, Glasgow born left half Archibald Mackie began his senior football career with Kilmarnock, making his Scottish League debut against Clyde in August 1913. He was a first team regular for seven seasons at Rugby Park, scoring 3 goals in 202 appearances for Killie, before joining Dumbarton in the 1920 close season. He played 11 times for The Sons before the year end, and transferred to Clydebank in early 1921, joining East Stirlingshire later the same year, retiring in 1923.
