Description
Desborough, Northamptonshire born inside right Cecil Kilborn began his football career with Desborough Town after the First World War, from where he was signed by First Division Bradford City in 1921, making his Football League debut against Middlesbrough that October. Equally adept at either the right or left inside berth, Kilborn made 15 appearances during his debut campaign as Bradford City suffered relegation at the end of the season.
Kilborn remained at Valley Parade and scored 5 goals in 22 appearances in 1922-23, but could only make 4 appearances in 1923-24, which proved to be his final season in the professional game, his last match of 41 appearances for The Bantams coming in a defeat at Blackpool in March 1924.
