Birkenhead, Cheshire born goalkeeper Arthur “Tishy” Hull joined Second Division club Blackpool in 1902 and made his Football League debut at Barnsley in January 1903, taking over the gloves from Joe Dorrington and establishing himself as Blackpool’s principal glovesman, a role he held for three further seasons. During that time he made 127 appearances for The Seasiders, but (possibly through injury) finished his career at the end of the 1905-06 season with no record of him joining another club.
