Whitwick, Leicestershire born inside rightAubrey Hoult played junior football for Oaks Parish Church in 1933 before joining Second Division club Notts County in 1934, making his Football League debut against Bury in April 1935, his only appearance of the season as Notts County were relegated. He made 8 more appearances the following season, before joining Northampton Town. In 1937-38 he made 10 appearances for The Cobblers, before joining Millwall in 1938. However he never made an appearance for The Lions, and his football career was ended by the outbreak of the Second World War in September 1939.
