Description
Stourbridge born winger Sid Harrold had been at Willenhall and Stourbridge prior to World War One, and after the conflict joined Second Division Leicester Fosse from Wednesbury, making his Leicester debut against Wolves in August 1919. He scored twice in 18 appearances for Leicester before losing his place in February 1920, joining Nottingham Forest the following summer. His 2 seasons on the River Trent saw him score 8 goals in 52 appearances, including 13 matches as Forest won the Second Division Championship in 1921-22. He then moved to Accrington Stanley in the summer of 1922, but only appeared 6 times that autumn, scoring once, before retiring from professional football.
