Sedgley, Staffordshire born wing half Harry Green began his football career with junior clubs Coseley Amateurs in 1923 and Redditch Town in 1924 before joining First Division Sheffield United in 1925, for whom he made his Football League debut at Bolton Wanderers in April 1926. This proved to be his only appearance for The Blades, and he joined Nottingham Forest in 1927, appearing 4 times for them in the late summer of 1927. He joined Halifax Town in 1928, playing once for them in August 1928, before joining non league Hereford United in 1929, playing subsequently for Kidderminster Harriers in 1930 before retirement.
