Left back Herbert Dickson was a left back for amateur Glasgow club Queen’s Park throughout the 1930’s. He made his Scottish League debut at Heart of Midlothian in October 1930 and played until the end of the 1941-42 season for the Hampden Park club. He also played for the Scottish Amateur International team. It was written of him “Dickson is of powerful stature and kicks the ball accurately and confidently with either foot. His recovery powers too are first rate.” In total he scored twice in 218 Scottish League and Cup appearances for The Spiders, and made well over 300 appearances for Queen’s Park in all competitions.
