Ilford, Essex born right half Reggie Dand began his football career with Ashford Railway Works in 1919, and played for Ilford in 1920 before joining Third Division (South) Reading, for whom he made his Football League debut at Luton Town in March 1922. He missed only one match in The Royals’ 1922-23 campaign but had lost his place (possibly through injury) by the start of the new season and never played again for Reading having made 55 first team appearances. He joined Queen’s Park Rangers in 1924 and made his only appearance for the club in a 2-1 home defeat to Norwich City on Christmas Day, joining non league Margate in 1925. He finished his career with Tunbridge Wells Rangers, having joined them from Margate in 1929.
