Clapton, London born centre forward Frederick Crook began his football career with Enfield after the First World War, from where he joined Millwall, making his Football League debut against Northampton Town in April 1923, playing a further 4 matches in their end of season run in which saw them finish sixth in the Third Division (South). Crook remained at The Den for two further seasons but never had any further first team opportunities for The Lions, joining Clapton Orient in 1925 where he spent 1925-26 on their books without making a first team appearance. His subsequent football career is uncertain.
