Blackpool born full back Bob Crewdson started in junior football with Fleetwood Mechanics in 1903 before joining hometown Second Division club Blackpool in 1904, making his Football League debut against Bristol City that November and although he initially struggled to get into the team, by 1906 he was their first choice full back. He played 9 seasons at Bloomfield Road, all of which were in the Second Division, making 223 appearances for The Seasiders without ever scoring before retiring in 1913.
