Description
Scottish wing half Jock Collier signed for Hull City from Inverkeithing United in 1920 and made his Hull City debut at West Ham United that August. He stayed 6 seasons on Humberside making 182 appearances but lost his place at the start of the 1925-26 season only playing 3 times, before a move to Queen’s Park Rangers in 1926. His two seasons in Shepherd’s Bush saw him score his only League goal, a penalty against Bristol Rovers in October 1927. The following year, after 37 games for Rangers, he moved to Midland League York City, and although he never played League football for them, he became their player-manager in July 1928, his first spell lasting two seasons, returning as manager for a second spell in May 1933 until March 1937.
