Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire born centre forward Frank Bricker was with Crewe Alexandra when they became a Football League club in the summer of 1921 and made his League debut at Wigan Borough in February 1922, scoring twice in his next match in a 2-0 win over Hartlepools United, playing 6 times in total before the end of the season.
In 1922-23 he scored 12 goals in 26 appearances as Crewe finished 6th in the Third Division (North) being Crewe’s joint top League scorer with Tom Bentley, but he joined non league Macclesfield Town at the end of the season scoring 9 goals in 16 appearances for The Silkmen, later playing for Bath City in 1924.
